Welcome to the PhysAssist home on the web! Whether you are thinking about becoming a scribe, you already are one, or you’re a doctor considering scribe implementation, our website is set up to provide you with comprehensive information concerning your needs. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, PhysAssist began in 1995 with 5 Scribes from Texas Christian University as a solution to one emergency physician’s muddled handwriting. And, while chart accuracy was the main impetus for the program, it soon became evident that the benefit of Scribes extended far beyond the creation of legible charts. As a result of the Scribe’s data entry, doctors began to have more time to see patients.
